What IS this?
A welcoming, ceremonial community drum circle rooted in rhythm, connection, and play.
We’ll settle into the space together, explore rhythm through gentle guidance and freeform drumming, and experience what happens when a whole group of people begins creating one living, collective sound.
Come exactly as you are. You don’t need to be “musical,” know how to drum, or have any idea what you’re doing. Curiosity is plenty.
What should I expect?
✨ A welcoming opening journey
✨ Guided rhythmic invitations and explorations
✨ Plenty of freeform drumming
✨ A beginner-friendly, no-pressure environment
✨ Drums available to borrow
✨ A cozy, ceremonial, community-centered atmosphere
✨ Optional movement, dancing, stretching, swaying, or simply sitting and listening
There’s no performance and no need to get anything “right.” You’re invited to listen, experiment, find your rhythm, lose it again, and become part of the sound we create together.
What should I bring?
• Water
• Bug protection of your choice
• Comfortable clothes you can move and sit in
• A cushion, chair, or blanket if you’d like one
• Your own drum, if you have one! Choose “Bring Your Own Drum” when registering.
No drum? No problem. Choose the registration option that includes borrowing one.
Accessibility
Seated participation is always welcome, and no previous drumming or musical experience is needed.
Ear protection is encouraged for anyone who is sound-sensitive. You’re also welcome to take breaks, step away from the circle, move around, or participate in whatever way feels comfortable.
The gathering space is outdoors on grass and/or woodchips. Please note that the available bathroom is unfortunately not ADA accessible.
Important Notes
Registration is required because both space and the number of available drums are limited.
Come to drum. Come to listen. Come to move. Come to connect.
There is room for you in the circle.
