I approach drumcraft as a conversation rather than simply an act of construction.

Rooted in animism, my practice begins with the understanding that the natural world is alive with presence, character, and relationship. The wood, hide, and other materials that become a drum are not merely components to be assembled - they are participants in the creative process who bring their own unique signatures and blessings with them.

As I work, I listen.

I listen to the materials, to my intuition, and to the emerging character of the instrument. I allow the process to unfold rather than trying to control every detail of the finished drum.

Each creation is a meeting between traditional craft, intuitive practice, and the living world.

No two drums emerge in quite the same way, because no two relationships are ever the same.

When I create a drum with you in mind, the process begins with intention and permission.

I invite you to share what you hope the drum will accompany or support in your life, whether that is personal practice, ceremony, musical exploration, or something you have yet to find words for.

With your consent, I connect intuitively with your energy and allow that conversation to inform my work.

Rather than following a predetermined design, I make creative decisions as the drum emerges. The materials, dimensions, appearance, and finishing details are guided by my intuition and the relationship developing through the process.

The resulting instrument is created with you and your and intention held in ceremony, while remaining true to my own creative practice.

meet the materials

  • FRAME

    Made of wood, the frame provides the foundation of the drum. I connect with the energetic imprint of the tree your drum frame came from to discover what the tree wishes to bring to this collaboration. I ceremonially offer thanks for their sacrifice and provide energetic healing to the ecosystem that lost them when they were removed.

  • HIDE

    I approach hide with gratitude and respect for the animal whose life contributed to the instrument, honoring that relationship through careful craftsmanship. I connect with the animal whose skin allows the drum to speak, offering healing to their ancestral line and deep gratitude for their contribution.

  • EMBELLISHMENTS

    Each drum is unique, and this is where each is allowed to speak for its design. Using beads, bells, shells, woodburning, stones, seeds, dyes, and other decorative items, your drum becomes a piece that is beautiful to see and healing to feel. Each of these items brings its own energetic signature to the completed conversation as well, and ceremonial offerings are made for all of them.

Intuitive Massage

Specialized therapeutic session integrating gua sha, cupping, and myofascial release methodologies. This evidence-based approach allows muscular tissues to achieve optimal relaxation through their natural physiological response patterns, promoting effective tension release and recovery.
